School starts soon for many children, what strategies do you have to prepare your child for school?

What are you doing to keep your children busy this summer?

The ASDC 2009 Biennial Conference is right around the corner. Do you have any fond memories of past conferences, anything you learned, other families you met, fun and memorable experiences you would like to share?

Summer is right around the corner. We have many summer camps listed on our website that are available to children. Do you have any special camp stories you can share with families. Any camps you would recommend to others?

Math – Many children struggle with math, how have you helped your child learn math. Please share with others what has worked for your child.

Reading – do you have any strategies you can share with other parents that might be helpful when teaching your deaf or hard of hearing child how to read?

Many people ask about how and where they can learn ASL. Do you have any advice, websites or ideas you like to share with others?

Current statistics show that 90% (or more) of Deaf or Hard of Hearing Children have hearing parents. In order to make the home environment language accessible, what are some things that you have found to be helpful?
